| Sure,
you can get home earlier on the "fast boats", but
if you're here to dive, we offer maximum dive bottom time. Our
75 minute dives require long surface intervals. Instead of bobbing
shoulder to shoulder in a little boat, eating a piece of fruit,
why not enjoy a real lunch, then stretch out in the sun to recharge
for the next dive... We think you'll agree that this is the
best way to enjoy the dive sites of Cozumel. And you'll still
have plenty of island time. |

Head
out to the reefs. Spacious deck makes gear setup easy. Divemasters
help assemble weight belts. The dive briefing on the sundeck
covers our dive site, expected conditions, hand signals, etc.
A loud "seal bark" signals time to dive! (you'll understand
once you get here!). Suit up and as the boat comes to a stop
over the morning dive site, the dive leader hits the water to
check the current then gives the ok for the group to enter.
The crew assists everyone into BCDs & fins, helps divers
to the stern, hands down cameras, gives masks a final rinse,
and anything else you need. |

interval. The crew switches your BCD to a fresh tank while
divers dry off and compare experiences. The boat heads for a
quiet mooring spot and lunch is served. Time for siestas, sunning,
snorkeling, filling out dive logs or otherwise relaxing while
the captain takes us to our next dive spot. The afternoon briefing
is even briefer. And there's that second seal bark! |

Back
to the harbor after packing up gear during the boat ride
home. Sure, the "fast boats" beat us back to the dock,
but we've had over 2 hours of diving, enjoyed lunch, we're rested
from our comfortable boat ride and surface interval siesta...
now there's an afternoon and evening free for shopping, island
tours, or margaritas overlooking the Plaza, and a leisurely
dinner. |
We avoid other
dive groups and concentrate on the pristine areas. We will take
you to some of the magnificent wonders of the Cozumel Park and seldom
traveled reefs. With good air consumption you can travel up to 2-3km,
experiencing 3 or 4 dive sites on a single dive. That's not because
we travel faster than other dive operators; we encourage you to
use the current rather than your fins to travel. It's because our
dive program is computer based and allows 75 minute dives provided
you can manage your air consumption and finish with 500psi, including
a 3 minute safety stop at 15 feet. Our boat will be there to pick
up divers as they finish their dive. The first dive is the deepest
and then we have our surface interval at a quiet beach, where lunch
is served. The next dive is a shallower dive, again for 75 minutes.
We return to the dock mid afternoon.
Our dive masters
are there to assist as needed, find and point out turtles, nurse
sharks, splendid toadfish, and other elusive creatures, to help
you improve bouyancy and air consumption, and help you safely ascend
to the boat at the end of your dive. Usually there is a dive master
in the front of the group, one in the middle, and one at the end.
We are safety
conscious but try to be unobtrusive. Divers are expected to be responsible
for their own actions and dive profiles.
